Soft Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

These cinnamon rolls have the perfect soft and fluffy texture. The potato in the dough may sound strange, but I promises they are delicious. They are a mix of gooey and airy and they are so good!



Potatoes  Sugar  Milk  Butter  Yeast  Egg  Vanilla Flour  Cinnamon  Nutmeg 

Boil some potatoes. Use some of the water to proof the yeast. Mash the potatoes to use in the dough.

Mix in the egg, vanilla, and flour. The dough will be a little tacky and a bit slack.

Put in a greased bowl and allow to rise until double its size.

Punch down the dough and roll into a square. Brush with melted butter and add cinnamon and sugar. 

Loosely cover and allow to rise until doubled in size.

Bake until golden brown.

Add icing while warm so it can melt down into the crevices.
