COOKING WITH CARLEE
This recipe for toffee bars comes straight from my grandma’s recipe box. They are a simple brown sugar cookie bar topped with chocolate and optionally pecans for a easy and tasty dessert.
Butter Brown Sugar Egg Vanilla Salt Flour Chocolate Chips
Beat some softened butter with brown sugar, an egg, vanilla and salt. Stir in flour.
Spread the dough in a 10x15-inch pan.
Bake until golden. Sprinkle chocolate chips over hot cookie bars.
Once chocolate is soft, spread over warm bars. Allow to cool and set.
They are perfect for potlucks, parties, picnics and more.
