Lemon Gooey Butter Cake

Lemon chess bars have a cakey crust topped with a gooey cream cheese and butter filling. They are easy to make and taste phenomenal. Make a batch to see for yourself.


Cake Mix  Eggs  Butter  Cream Cheese  Powdered sugar  Lemon juice

Make a simple crust with a cake mix, butter and egg. Top with cream cheese mixture and bake.


It's done with the edges are golden and the middle has just a little bit of jiggle left when shaken.

Dust cooled bars with powdered sugar and serve. They are great cold, at room temperature or even warmed up.

They are ooey, gooey and oh so tasty. The lemon tang goes well with the cream cheese filling.
