White Cake Recipe From Scratch

Making a perfect white cake at home doesn’t have to be hard.  This simple cake makes a great birthday or special occasion dessert. It makes two 9″ round cakes that are perfect for layering and decorating.


Flour  Baking Powder  Salt  Butter  Vanilla  Extract  Almond Extract  Sugar  Milk  Egg Whites

This recipe makes a nice light sponge without having to whip the egg white separately.

The layers are sturdy enough to handle lots of filling, but they are still soft and moist.

Decorate it as soon as it is cooled, or wrap the cakes in plastic wrap and freeze for later.
