Healthy Chocolate Steel Cut Oatmeal

This chocolate steel cut oatmeal is healthy, creamy and delicious. There is not refined sugar and so much goodness.
Steel cut oatmeal
Optional: Honey, banana slices, pecans, toasted coconut, a dollop of vanilla yogurt or strawberries
In a large heavy bottomed pot, bring the water to a boil. Stir in the oats and drop to a simmer.
Simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, mash together the bananas and cocoa powder until smooth. Stir in the milk and a pinch of salt.
Stir the chocolate banana mixture into the oats and continue to cook over low, stirring frequently until the oatmeal is the desired texture. Add a little more milk or water if necessary.
Taste the oatmeal and stir in a Tablespoon or two of honey if you’d like it sweeter. Serve with desired toppings
