COOKING WITH CARLEE
Turn overripe bananas into this fabulous banana cake. It is easy to make, but the instructions may surprise you. It goes straight from the oven to the freezer for a super moist and tender cake.
Ripe Bananas Butter Sugar Vanilla Eggs Milk Vinegar Flour Salt Baking Soda
Cream together butter and sugar. Add bananas, vanilla and eggs. Mix together dry ingredients and sour milk with vinegar.
Combine everything together to make a batter. Pour into prepared 9x13.
The cake bakes at 275F and then goes straight to the freezer to cool.
It ends up really moist and tender thanks to its unusual baking directions.
We like to top it with brown sugar icing, but it is also great with cream cheese or chocolate frosting.
