There are traditional recipes that are always on our holiday table and a few fun twists as well. So you can have your favorites and try a few new things as well.

Whether you are having a small family gathering or a larger event, some planning is necessary to enjoy a tasty Easter season. Don’t worry, we can do it together!

Tips for a Tasty Easter Menu

Make as much ahead of time as possible. If you are baking cookies or cakes, do that ahead of time.

Most cookies freeze well and so do unfrosted cakes. Just decorate them a little closer to the holiday.

Most pies and cheesecakes can be made a day or two in advance as well. This is especially helpful if they need to chill.

You can also make a lot of side dishes ahead of time. Assemble things like potato casserole a day ahead of time, then all you have to do is bake it when you are ready.

A lot of pasta salads and cold side dishes can be assembled ahead of time. The more prep and cleanup you can have done, the more relaxing the big meal can be.

If someone offers to bring something, let them. And if you are going somewhere, offer to bring a side dish or a pie.

There is no need to be a hero and do everything yourself. Accept a little bit of help and enjoy the day with your family.

Thank-you for sending so many delicious dessert recipes and more, wow, I can’t wait to try a number of these. I’m going to make the peanut butter nests with chow mien noodles but I am thinking I’ll substitute butterscotch chips in place of peanut butter. My kids don’t care much for peanut butter, believe that? Thanks again and Happy Easter to you and yours.

Oooh, I think butterscotch will be great in these. I hope everyone loves them. Peanut butter is one of my favorites, so it's hard to believe... but that just means more for me!! 😉 Have a very happy Easter and thank you!
