Whip up your own white hot chocolate mix, it is beyond easy! It just takes a handful of ingredients and maybe ten minutes if you take your time. Then you can make creamy white hot chocolate all winter long.  It is the perfect way to warm up on a chilly day. Or pass out jars as gifts for neighbors, friends and teachers at Christmas.

At Christmastime we like to sprinkle in edible gifts for our friends and family.  They are fun to make and folks are happy to receive them.

This white hot chocolate mix makes a perfect little present because the recipient can enjoy it easily.  Only a mug and hot water are required, no additional ingredients are needed.

Plus, once it has been used there is nothing to dust, no rearranging to find it a permanent home. Just pure enjoyment!

Luckily it only takes 5 simple ingredients to whip up a batch.  If you have a big food processor (at least 10 cups), it only takes a few minutes as well.

Packaging and extra special gift giving ideas:

We love to package it up in glass jars for storage and gifting.  We even made some ball jars that look like snowmen to make it extra festive.

You can also make a classic hot chocolate mix and whip up some Rudolph jars for a fun cocoa gift basket. Make festive snowman marshmallows or chocolate dipped rudolph marshmallows to make it even more festive.

That is the fun thing about hot chocolate, it is so easy to dress up and make extra special.  For a larger gift you could give all of the fixin’s for a hot chocolate bar.

This white hot chocolate pairs well with so many flavor profiles. It is great on its own, of course. It has a rich white chocolate flavor.

The traditional marshmallow topping is good. So is a little candy cane for peppermint undertones.

Feel free to experiment with a fresh grating of nutmeg. Or use this mix as a powdered coffee creamer. Wouldn’t that be amazing? It would be like an instant white chocolate mocha.

You can even use some of your homemade mix to make white hot chocolate cookies. See, the possibilities really are endless!

Well I have worked up a thirst just thinking about it. So I hope
you give this yummy mix a try.

Original post from 2015:

I hope you guys are enjoying hot chocolate week as much as I am.  Drinking a nice warm mug of hot chocolate is one of my favorite ways to hide from old man winter.

He and I don’t get along. We were kind of friends when I was a kid, but we are no longer chums.

In fact, I would prefer that we weren’t even acquaintances.  But alas, I live in the Midwest and as long as that is the case I will have to deal with him.

Oh well, at least that means hot chocolate!

MiMi made a big pot of white hot chocolate for Christmas last year and it was AMAZING!  So, when we got together to make hot chocolate mixes for Christmas gifts this year, we knew there had to be some white hot chocolate mix too!  This is a warm creamy mug of yum!

You can dress it up with cinnamon, marshmallows or last year MiMi put some Andes peppermint chips and fresh whipped cream on there and it was to die for!  I mean really, that is the stuff dreams are made of right there!

This is another quick and easy recipe to make. Just like the hot chocolate mix, all it takes is a few minutes in the food processor and you are ready to go. The hardest part is deciding which one to enjoy!
