A healthy and hearty breakfast that tastes like chocolate?  I am there every time!  This oatmeal eats like a treat.

It’s almost like chocolate tapioca.  But it’s even better because there’s no refined sugar and so much oatmeal goodness.

I love a little texture in my bowl of oatmeal, so steel cut oatmeal is perfect.  But there is plenty of creamy goodness too!

It is full of fruit, oatmeal and chocolate goodness.  Really there is fiber, antioxidants and goodness.

It is great on its own and even better with fun toppings.  We had ours with extra sliced bananas and toasted coconut.

I put some chopped pecans on mine, but of course I would never dare put any on my husband’s.

I was a bit surprised when we took a bowl.  We aren’t huge breakfast eaters and he especially isn’t if it is sweet.

He is much more likely to fry himself a few eggs than reach for a bowl of oatmeal.  If he does make himself oatmeal, it is topped with butter, sugar and maple syrup.

Yes, sugar and syrup.  He eats his french toast that way too and the sugar has to be granulated.

Who knows?  It’s his thing, so I let him have it the one or two times a year we actually eat french toast or plain oatmeal.

Of course, we almost always eat our oatmeal baked.  I just love baked oatmeal in all of its forms.

I have two chocolate versions already.  Both the brownie baked oatmeal and hot chocolate baked oatmeal are delicious.

But sometimes you just want a bowl of hot oatmeal that you can eat with a spoon.

On those days there is this chocolate steel cut oatmeal.  Or if you want something different, the apple pie steel cut oatmeal is also amazing and will make your whole house smell amazing while it cooks!  What are you favorite ways to eat oatmeal?

OK, I think that adding chocolate to your oatmeal may be cheating! What a great idea. I grew up on oatmeal but I have never had it with chocolate in it. I'm anxious to see if my grand kids like this.
